TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The prestigious film awards ceremony, the 98th Academy Awards, was held today, March 15, 2026 at the Dolby Theatre, Hollywood, Los Angeles, United States. The Oscars, hosted by comedian Conan O'Brien, honored films released throughout 2025.
During the awards night, Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another took the spotlight as the most awarded film at this year's Oscars.

One significant moment for Asian acts came from the animated film KPop Demon Hunters, which won the Best Animated Feature category at the 2026 Oscars. The animated film, co-directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, combines the world of K-pop with fantasy and action elements.
"Thank you to the Academy and all the fans who have brought us this far, and to those who look like me," said director Maggie Kang when receiving the Oscar on stage. "I deeply regret that it took us so long to see ourselves in a film like this. But here it is, and it means that future generations no longer have to long for it.
