Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, discussed the Palestinian issue in a bilateral meeting on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, local time. The meeting between Prabowo and King Abdullah II took place at the Basman Palace in Amman, Jordan.

King Abdullah II expressed his appreciation to Prabowo for Indonesia's efforts to promote a two-state solution to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

"I know that you are committed to bringing peace and tranquility, and again, your very courageous commitment to protecting the people of Gaza, I think, is very important," said King Abdullah II at the Basman Palace in Jordan on Wednesday.

2. After Jordan, Prabowo Continues Middle East Trip to UAE

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto continued his official trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Prabowo departed for Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, after completing a visit to Amman, Jordan.

According to a statement from the Presidential Secretariat, the Garuda Indonesia-1 aircraft carrying President Prabowo and his entourage landed at Abu Dhabi Presidential Airport on Wednesday at around 06:00 PM local time. Prabowo's arrival was greeted by a guard of honor standing on the side of the runway.

At the bottom of the aircraft's steps, President Prabowo was greeted by UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei, Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE Judha Nugraha, UAE Ambassador to Indonesia Abdulla Salem Obaid Salem Al-Daheri, and the Defense Attaché at the Indonesian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Brigadier General Tony Aris Setiawan.

3. Prabowo Greets F-16 Jet Pilot as He Enters Jordan Airspace

President Prabowo Subianto expressed gratitude to the Royal Jordanian Air Force F-16 fighter jet pilots. Prabowo received an escort from two fighter jets as he entered the Jordanian airspace on late Tuesday, February 24, 2026, local time.

Similar escort was also provided during Prabowo's visit to Jordan in April 2025.

One of the F-16 pilots greeted Prabowo through radio communication from the cockpit. "Your Excellency, Mr. President, Assalamualaikum warahmatullah. This is Lion One speaking. Your Excellency, on behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the people of Jordan, we are honored to welcome you to the Jordanian airspace.
