TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto has appointed Nanik S. Deyang as the new Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), replacing Dadan Hindayana.
The decision was announced by State Secretariat Minister Prasetyo Hadi in a live-streamed press conference on YouTube late Tuesday, June 2, 2026. "The President has decided to make changes in the leadership of the National Nutrition Agency," said Prasetyo.
Prasetyo said Prabowo has decided to remove the previous leader of the agency, after nearly 1.5 years of monitoring and evaluation process.
During the announcement, the government spokesperson disclosed the removal of the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency, Dadan Hindayana, and two Deputy Heads, Lodewyk Pusung and Sonny Sanjaya.
Prasetyo also expressed gratitude for their hard work and dedication.
With this decision, Prasetyo mentioned that Prabowo has appointed Agustina Arumsari and Major General TNI Trenggono as Deputy Heads of the National Nutrition Agency. "To the new three leaders of the National Nutrition Agency, we hope for an immediate internal consolidation," conveyed Prasetyo.
Prasetyo hopes that the new leadership can accelerate the implementation of priority programs, improve performance, enhance organizational governance, and provide benefits to citizens, particularly in efforts to enhance the quality of nutrition, health, and human resources in Indonesia.
Who is Nanik S. Deyang?
Nanik S. Deyang was a journalist at Tabloid Bangkit, part of the Kompas Gramedia media group and the media manager of the Kelompok Peluang Media (KMP).
According to Antara, Nanik held strategic positions at the publication, including serving as the General Manager of the specialty magazine "Femme," the President Director of the women's tabloid "Info Kecantikan," and a Commissioner at the tabloid "Info Kuliner," the economics and business tabloid "Peluang Usaha," and the general tabloid "The Politic."
Born in Madiun on January 3, 1968, she has interests in numerous social, political, and economic issues.
Nanik was elected Deputy Chair of the Prabowo-founded National Solidarity Movement Foundation (GSN). During the 2019 Presidential Election, Nanik stood among those backing the Prabowo-Sandi pair and was elected Deputy Chair of the National Victory Agency of the Just and Prosperous Coalition.
Nanik's name attracted public attention when the Ratna Sarumpaet assault hoax case in Bandung surfaced in 2018. She was named a witness and summoned to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police.
On October 22, 2024, Prabowo appointed Nanik as Deputy I of the Agency for the Acceleration of Poverty Alleviation, tasked with addressing poverty in Indonesia.
Nanik served alongside Budiman Sudjatmiko as Head and Iwan Sumule as Deputy II, as outlined under Presidential Decree No. 145/P of 2024.
Approximately eight months later, Nanik received a new position at a state-owned enterprise. Pertamina's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) for the 2024 fiscal year, held at Graha Pertamina, Jakarta, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, approved Nanik's appointment as an Independent Commissioner.
Nanik's appointment as an independent commissioner is based on the Decree of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises as the Holder of Series A Dwiwarna Shares of PT Pertamina Number SK-150/MBU/06/2025 or Number SK.012/DI-DAM/DO/2025. The decree regulates the Dismissal and Appointment of Members of the Board of Commissioners of the Company PT Pertamina (Persero).
