TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated 6 Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at the State Palace, Central Jakarta, on Friday, December 19, 2025.
The Deputy to Minister of State Secretary for Apparatuses' Administration Affairs, Nanik Purwanti, said that the inauguration was based on the Presidential Decree Number 133 P of 2025 on the appointment of Indonesian ambassadors.
The President appointed the following Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary:
1. Yusron Bahauddin Ambary, the Indonesian Ambassador to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria
2. Okto Dorinus Manik, the Indonesian Ambassador to Papua New Guinea
3. Gina Yoginda, the Indonesian Ambassador to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea
4. Rediyanto Heru Nurcahyo, the Indonesian Ambassador to the Republic of Slovakia
5. Hari Prabowo as the Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, concurrently serving the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP)
6. Nurmala Kartini Panjaitan Sjahrir, the Indonesian Ambassador to Japan
President Prabowo Subianto then led the oath-taking ceremony for the 6 ambassadors. "Are you ready to take the oath in accordance with your faith?" Prabowo said. "Ready," the ambassadors answered.
The Head of State then asked the ambassadors to repeat his words. The contents of the oath of office require the ambassadors to be loyal to the 1945 Constitution, abide by the rules, and follow the government's orders.
"I will carry out my duties to the best of my ability and with a sense of responsibility. I will be loyal to all orders and instructions from the central government. And I will faithfully fulfill all other obligations entrusted to me," he said.
After that, the ambassadors signed the minutes of the ceremony. The inauguration was also attended by several officials, including the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Sunarto, Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo, Head of the National Economic Council Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and several ministers of the Red and White Cabinet.
