TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian contingent had a productive day at the SEA Games 2025 in Thailand, securing nine additional gold medals on Monday, December 15. These additions further solidified the Red and White Team's second position in the medal table.
The gold medals for Indonesia, as reported by Antara, were sourced from athletics, shooting, cycling, weightlifting, and wushu. Those who stood on the top podium include Abdul Hafiz (Athletics - Men's Javelin Throw), Vincentius Djajadiningrat (Practical Shooting - Men's Production Individual), Ayustina Delia Priatna (Cycling Road - Women's Individual Time Trial), and M. Iqbal Raia Prabowo/Arista P. P. Darmoyo (Shooting Pistol and Rifle - 10M Air Pistol Mixed Team).
Rizki Juniansyah's World Records
In weightlifting, Olympic gold medalist Rizki Juniansyah secured another top medal in the 79-kilogram (kg) category. Rizki lifted 160 kg in the snatch and 205 kg in the clean and jerk, setting a new world record in both the clean and jerk lift and his 365 kg total lift. This remarkable total surpassed the previous world record of 363 kg.
Wushu Exceeds Targets
The remaining four gold medals were achieved in the wushu event, presented by Samuel Marbun (Wushu - Men's Sanda 65 kg), Tharisa Dea Florentina (Wushu - Women's Sanda 56 kg), Patricia Geraldine (Wushu - Women's Changguan Jianshu & Quanshu), and Ahmad Ghifari, Ahmad Ghozali Fuaiz, and Terrence Tjahyadi (Wushu - Men's Duilian Bare-Handed).
With these four final golds, Indonesia concluded its wushu campaign with five golds, three silvers, and one bronze. This haul not only secured the overall champion position in the sport but also exceeded the initial target of three golds. In the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia, Indonesia took home six golds, six silvers, and two bronzes.
SEA Games 2025 Medal Standings (Day 7)
Aside from the gold medals, Indonesia also secured nine silvers and 11 bronzes on Monday. According to the official SEA Games 2025 website, as quoted at 00:05 Jakarta time on Tuesday, the overall standings are as follows:
