TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two videos claiming that Cristiano Ronaldo visited disaster victims in Sumatra and delivered aid circulated on TikTok (the first account, the second account) [archive] in early December 2025.
The first video shows the Arab League player from Al-Nassr FC disembarking a plane and shaking hands with a person who greeted him. In the second video, he is seen entering a room filled with stacks of cash.

As of this writing, both videos have garnered over 10,000 likes and hundreds of comments. But is it true that Ronaldo donated money and visited flood victims in Aceh?
FACT CHECK
Tempo used Yahoo! and Google's reverse image search tools and the keyword "Ronaldo money vault." The results showed that the video of Ronaldo's visit took place in Italy, not Sumatra. Furthermore, the second video was created using artificial intelligence (AI).
Visual Verification
Video 1

This 37-second video actually captures Ronaldo's arrival at Caselle Airport in Turin, Italy, on July 15, 2018. At that time, the Portuguese footballer had just joined Juventus.
Juventus F.C.'s official website and YouTube account also featured news of his arrival.
Video 2
The second video was uploaded by the account @abukurap, claiming that Cristiano Ronaldo was sending aid to Aceh. Tempo found a watermark indicating the source of the video, @cr7vlog7, was the source of the video. However, upon further investigation, the video had been removed.

After searching using Yahoo!'s search engine, Tempo found another account that uploaded this video to YouTube on December 5, 2025.
Analysis using the Hive Moderation detection tool revealed that 99.7 percent of the video contained AI elements. Similarly, Was It AI also indicated a strong prediction of AI manipulation.

CONCLUSION
Based on Tempo's investigation, the claim that footballer Cristiano Ronaldo made a donation to the Acehnese victims of the flash floods is false.
