TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Police said they found no evidence of poison during a forensic examination of Mordent Aesthetic Clinic in South Jakarta, where Sutrimo, a man believed to have worked as the head of household at the residence of former Attorney General's Office senior prosecutor Febrie Adriansyah, was found dead.
A forensic team from the National Police's Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) examined the clinic for about an hour on Monday, July 27. More than five forensic officers entered the building at around 1 p.m. local time.
South Jakarta Police detective Robby Pasha said investigators found no poisonous substances that could be linked to Sutrimo's death.
"There was none," Robby told reporters after the examination.
He declined to specify what evidence had been collected, saying all items recovered from the scene would undergo further forensic analysis.
Investigators left the clinic carrying several pieces of evidence, including a blue pillow wrapped in transparent plastic, a mat, and four small paper bags containing additional materials.
Sutrimo, 42, was found dead with foam around his mouth at the clinic on Thursday, July 23, at about 9 a.m. local time. Police are continuing to question his family, ambulance personnel, hospital staff, and other witnesses. Investigators are also reviewing his medical records, ambulance booking history, the location where he was first found, and other evidence related to the case.
Earlier, Jakarta Metropolitan Police spokesperson Budi Hermanto said investigators were also examining Sutrimo's links to several individuals, including former senior prosecutor Febrie Adriansyah.
The investigation comes as questions remain over why Sutrimo was at the long-abandoned clinic. Tempo observed that the building had fallen into disrepair, with damaged ceilings, peeling walls, and an overgrown yard.
A nearby security guard, Dedi, said the clinic had ceased operations around five years ago during the COVID-19 pandemic after operating for only a few months.
"After it closed, there was no activity inside and the building remained locked," he said, adding that police cordoned off the site only on Sunday night ahead of the latest forensic examination.
