Aston Villa secured the win thanks to goals from Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins (2), and John McGinn, while Liverpool responded through Virgil van Dijk (2), according to Premier League records.
This victory moved Aston Villa up to fourth in the Premier League standings with 62 points from 37 matches, securing a spot in next season's Champions League.
On the other hand, the defeat dropped Liverpool to fifth in the Premier League standings with 59 points from 37 matches, four points ahead of Bournemouth in sixth.
Liverpool kicked off the game with an offensive stance, resulting in a goal scored through Cody Gakpo, but the referee ruled it out for offside.
Next, Dominik Szoboszlai created a chance with a long-range shot, but the ball was saved by Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
Despite initial pressure, Villa took the lead through Morgan Rogers, who received a Lucas Digne pass, making it 1-0 in the 42nd minute.
Entering the second half, Liverpool equalized in the 52nd minute through a Virgil van Dijk header, leveling the score at 1-1.
Villa regained the lead in the 57th minute after Morgan Rogers' pass was converted by Ollie Watkins, making it 2-1.
Unai Emery's side extended their lead to 3-1 in the 73rd minute with Watkins' second goal.
John McGinn then extended Villa's lead to 4-1 after receiving a Watkins pass in the 89th minute.
Entering injury time, Liverpool reduced the gap to 2-4 after Szoboszlai's pass was converted by Van Dijk in the 90+2 minute.
In the remaining time, Liverpool tried to catch up, but until the end of the match, the score remained 4-2 for Aston Villa's victory.
