TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The flagship Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra phone is reported to have experienced a disruption in its screen, suddenly displaying a thin pinkish-red tint. This issue was first revealed through reports from several users on the internet after the device was launched at the end of February.
Samsung responds to complaints from Galaxy S26 Ultra users regarding the emergence of the issue. The South Korean tech giant stated that the problem is not due to hardware damage, but rather a disruption in the software processing or a bug that can be fixed through a system update.
"The color balance can change to reddish when the OLED is exposed to strong surrounding light," Samsung's statement quoted from GSMArena on Monday, July 20, 2026. It was added that to address the issue, Samsung is preparing a software update that will fix the color balance.
However, the issue remains with the software update for this device not yet available. Typically, a new smartphone requires time for an update or software update. If users find this screen disruption very disturbing, it is advisable to visit one of Samsung's service centers to get assistance with this issue.
Meanwhile, Phone Arena mentioned the suspicion of a bug related to the Private Display feature of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The feature works by controlling how the screen pixels emit light, but somehow, the thin pinkish-red display appears.
