Jakarta to Impose Traffic Restrictions for Singapore PM Visit

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Metropolitan Police will implement traffic engineering during the state visit of Prime Minister Singapore Lawrence Wong to Jakarta. The visit will take place on Sunday-Monday, July 5 to 6, 2026.

"Indonesia is receiving the state visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, Y.M. Lawrence Wong," said the Directorate of Traffic of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police through the social media account Traffic Management Centre (@tmcpoldametro).

The Directorate of Traffic of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police mentioned that the state event series will begin at 18:00 WIB and continue until done. Officers will conduct temporary traffic escort and regulation on several main roads in Jakarta. The Jakarta roads that will be passed by the state guest entourage include:

- Halim Perdanakusuma Road

- MT. Haryono Road

- Karet Pasar Baru Timur III Road

- Karet Pasar Baru Timur II Road

- Galunggung Road

- Medan Merdeka Barat Road

The Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Management Centre ensures that road closures will only be carried out when the state guest entourage passes. 'Road closures will only be carried out when the state guest entourage is passing through,' said the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Management Centre.
