Prabowo Inaugurates 6 New Officials in Cabinet Reshuffle

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto has inaugurated six officials into new positions within the Red and White Cabinet. One of the key positions reshuffled by the Gerindra Party Chair is the Ministry of Environment.

The inauguration ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday, April 27, 2026, with the oath of office administered by the President himself. "That I, in carrying out my duties, will uphold the ethical standards of the office and work to the best of my ability with full responsibility," Prabowo dictated to the appointees during the swearing-in.

Through this reshuffle, Prabowo appointed the Chairperson of the Indonesian Trade Union Confederation (KSPSI), Mohammad Jumhur Hidayat, as the Minister of Environment and Head of the Environmental Control Agency. Jumhur replaces the outgoing official, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq.

Following his removal from the environment post, Hanif was appointed as the Deputy Coordinating Minister for Food. Hanif’s inauguration into this new role was conducted at the Presidential Palace during the same ceremony on Monday.

Additionally, Prabowo inaugurated several officials to non-ministerial posts. Muhammad Qodari was appointed as the Head of the Government Communication Agency, replacing Angga Raka Prabowo. In taking this role, Qodari vacated his previous position as Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP).

Qodari’s former post has been filled by retired General Dudung Abdurachman. Dudung has also served as the Special Advisor to the President for National Defense since the onset of the Prabowo administration.

Prabowo also inaugurated Hasan Nasbi as the Special Advisor to the President for Communication. This appointment marks Hasan’s official return to the Red and White Cabinet circle after having previously departed the Presidential Communication Office in April of last year.

Finally, the President appointed the former Minister for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers, Abdul Kadir Karding, as an agency head. Karding, who was removed from his ministerial position in 2025, now serves as the Head of the Indonesian Quarantine Agency.
