TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto had a meeting with Indonesian K-Pop group Hearts2Hearts member, Carmen, during a state visit to the Republic of Korea on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. This moment was shared by South Korean President Lee Jae-myung through a post on his Instagram account.
In one of the posts, President Lee and President Prabowo were seen posing for a photo with Carmen. Lee and Prabowo stood on either side of Carmen, smiling at the camera while making a finger heart gesture-a common pose used by K-Pop stars and their fans.
Carmen, born in Denpasar on March 28, 2006, has become one of the fresh faces representing Indonesia in the K-Pop industry. Nyoman Ayu Carmenita, a young woman better known as Carmen, is the first Indonesian idol to debut under the management of SM Entertainment, one of the largest agencies in South Korea.
During the meeting with President Lee and President Prabowo, Carmen attended as one of the guests at the state luncheon held at Cheong Wa Dae, also known as the Blue House, the presidential palace of the Republic of Korea. This event was part of Prabowo's official visit to South Korea.
In the caption of the Instagram post @2_jaemyung, President Lee emphasized the enhancement of cooperation between South Korea and Indonesia for the prosperity of both countries.
"'Together, we step further.' The words of Indonesian President Prabowo really touched my heart," wrote President Lee.
President Prabowo's visit to the Land of Ginseng resulted in an agreement to strengthen bilateral cooperation through a special comprehensive strategic partnership. Indonesia is said to be the only country in the world to have such a partnership with South Korea.
During his visit to South Korea, Prabowo also witnessed the announcement and exchange of 10 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between Indonesia and South Korea, and received the highest honor, The Grand Order of Mugunghwa, from the South Korean government.
