Identical videos were previously uploaded by the X account @Byron_wan on April 11, 2026, and the Instagram account @Crimescenekhronicles on April 13, 2026. According to the posts, the climbing activity took place near Shizilei, Fuzhou, China. The footage, which circulated in April 2026, shows climbers traversing a steep cliff in an area that has not yet been developed as an official climbing area.

Several Chinese-language media outlets, such as Sohu.com, Sina.com, and Gmw.cn, also reported on the incident of a climber who fell from a cliff and sustained injuries while exploring the popular tourist destination in Fuzhou.

"A rescue operation was carried out at the time, and the incident has now been resolved. The area is undeveloped, so please avoid going there," said an official from the Jingyang City government, as quoted by Sohu.com.

Regarding the victim's identity and injuries, the official claimed to be unaware of the details and advised contacting the Blue Sky Rescue Team. However, the reporter's attempts to contact the local Blue Sky Rescue Team were unsuccessful.
