According to FIFA data, Colombia has collected six points and is two points ahead of Portugal, which is in second place with four points, as quoted by ANTARA.
Portugal maintains its chances of qualifying for the next phase after recording one win and one draw.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Republic of the Congo is in third place with one point. Uzbekistan is at the bottom of the table because it has not earned any points.
In Group L, England leads the standings with four points from two matches. The Three Lions have a superior goal difference over Ghana, who are level on points in second place.
Croatia is in third place with three points from one win and one loss, while Panama is at the bottom of the standings after suffering two consecutive defeats.
FIFA noted several interesting facts from the World Cup match on Wednesday, Indonesian time. Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo scored in the sixth minute to become the first player to score in six World Cups.
The 41-year-old also became the second-oldest goalscorer in the competition's history. His second goal at the 2026 World Cup saw Ronaldo surpass Eusebio's record and become Portugal's all-time leading scorer.
From Group L, England midfielder Jude Bellingham made his 50th appearance for the national team at the age of 22, making him the youngest player to reach that milestone for England.
Additionally, Ronaldo and Croatian midfielder Luka Modric set a new record as the only two players aged 40 or older to both win on the same day at the World Cup.
