TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - All the doors of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) building on East Ring Road in Mertasinga Village, Cilacap Regency, Central Java, were tightly locked. Its yard was overgrown with weeds. Not a single employee was seen there on Thursday afternoon, July 2, 2026.
Mertasinga Village Chief Chandra Hartanto said the building, which was supposed to serve as a kitchen for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, had been completed in January 2026. However, it has never begun operations. He also said he did not know who managed the SPPG. "We've never received any information about that kitchen," he said.
The electricity meter at the site identified the operator as Berkah Ab Foundation. According to National Nutrition Agency (BGN) records, the facility belongs to Berkah Abadi Rahayu Foundation. The data show the SPPG has exceeded its operational deadline by 130 days since being registered with the agency.
The same document also lists another SPPG operated by Berkah Abadi Rahayu Foundation in Sidanegara Village, Central Cilacap District, which has exceeded its operational deadline by 270 days. It also records eight other SPPGs that have shown no operational progress for more than 90 days. Although inactive, all of them have official identification numbers issued by the National Nutrition Agency.
