TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Tempo Inti Media Tbk. will launch an artificial intelligence (AI) platform that gathers all data, including information, photos, and events recorded in Tempo magazine's coverage since its establishment in 1971. Wahyu Dhyatmika, Director of PT Tempo Inti Media, stated that the AI platform will utilize a subscription-based business model.
"The target is corporations and business-to-business. It will be launched this year," Wahyu said after presenting PT Tempo Inti Media's public disclosure for the 2025 fiscal year at Tempo Building, Palmerah, West Jakarta on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
According to Wahyu, the AI-based information business presents a potential opportunity for Tempo. As a media outlet that has been around for over half a century, Tempo's information archives and news coverage hold high value for researchers, companies, and various other stakeholders.
Wahyu explained that the platform operates similarly to AI services like ChatGPT and others. Users only need to input a prompt or question, and the system will present information taken from Tempo's news database since its first publication in 1971.
In addition to launching the AI platform, Tempo is also preparing a special subscription package for students this year. For Rp47,000 per month, students can access all of Tempo's digital news for three years.
The program will be implemented through collaborations with several campuses. Students who want to receive this subscription package only need to register using their campus email addresses with the domain ac.id.
Through this breakthrough, Wahyu stated that Tempo is targeting young readers with substantial potential. His goal is to increase Tempo's digital subscriber base to 100,000 by 2027 with the help of the student subscription package.
